As school counselors at Barber Middle School, the standard is to provide high-quality, data-driven, comprehensive academic, career/college readiness, and social/emotional development counseling to all students via strategic planning, intervention, and timely responses. The School Counseling Program is based on developmental concepts and theories and recognizes the strengths of each individual. Moreover, the program is preventative and proactive; it encourages students, staff, and the community to appreciate the contributions, rights, and responsibilities of themselves and others.  

Our vision is to empower all students at Barber Middle School to grow into strong, confident, and responsible individuals who achieve success in school, future careers, and life through a supportive community.
