Our parent teacher association is a formal organization composed of parents, teachers and staff that is intended to facilitate parental participation in a school. Our membership includes community members of all kinds, including parents, teachers, staff, students, businesses and community leaders.
Patent attorney by day, soccer coach by night. AJ is excited to be serving as president of our PTA this year. He was treasurer of our PTA last year, and has also previously served as president of two different education-related non-profits, including AEF (the Asian Pacific American Bar Association Education Fund) as well as the San Diego Naval JROTC Scholarship Fund. He hopes to utilize his leadership experiences to build and grow BMP's PTA this year. AJ is the parent of a rising 3rd grader (Obadiah), two rising kindergarteners (Oliver and Olivia), and a dog (Gilbert).
Former Montessori Primary Teacher, Lani is currently a full time stay-at-home mom to Tess (rising 2nd grader at BMP) and Lincoln (soon-to-be 5 yrs old and will join BMP in 2026-2027 SY). She is excited to take the role of Vice President and is looking forward to connecting with our BMP families. She has a BA in Latin American Studies and Spanish. She also speaks Tagalog and Spanish.
Yolinda is mother of a third grader and twin kindergarteners at BMP and a substitute teacher with FCPS. She also works for the federal government. She loves the students and staff at BMP and hopes to support healthy growth for this wonderful community. She speaks fluent mandarin, an attorney by training, loves music and board games, and hopes to utilize these skills and interests to enrich the lives of BMP students.
Emily was a third grade teacher and reading specialist for fourteen years before staying home with her two kids. She has one Mustang heading into first grade, and another will be joining the herd in a year. When she’s not chasing her kids around the playground or coaching a sport, you can find Emily reading a book. As a former teacher, she is passionate about making sure all children receive a quality education and is excited to serve with the PTA this year!
Cassandra has worked as a technical writer, strategic planner and analyst for the Federal Aviation Administration but her most difficult and rewarding job is the mother of three. She loves musical theatre, the outdoors, board games and reading. She enjoys serving on the PTA and getting to know the parents, tearchers, and students that make up this great community.
I works as self employed. I have 5 kids..... 4 girls, and 1 boy. I'm involved and like to help where I can. I love sports, hiking, dancing, music, and mathematics. I love to be involved with the community and spreading the word to get people more connected. If I don't know the answer I'm sure I can find someone who does.
