Indy is from Indonesia and is conducting research on anti-obesity, anti-atherosclerosis, and anti-diabetes in vitro and in vivo. He is looking for bioactive materials, such as peptides and polyphenols, in natural bioresources.
Chathuri K. Marasinghe
Chathuri is from Sri Lanka. Her main field is peptide biochemistry showing a versatile healthcare modulating activities. Currently, she is conducting the effects of bioactive peptides and polysaccharides on foam cell formation of macrophage and/or smooth muscle cells to prevent atherosclerosis.
Lakshi A. Dayarathne
Lakshi is from Sri Lanka. She is doing anti-obesity research through modulating preadipocyte differentiation. She is also uncovering the role of bioactive peptides in chondrocyte differentiation and developing injectable hydrogels or scaffolds for cartilage regeneration.
Jasmadi
Jasmadi is from Indonesia. He is currently developing calcium binding materials to promote nutritional uptake and is also studying the potential for those materials to stimulate osteoblast differentiation to prevent osteoporosis.
