Registration is closed for the challenge! BMCC's 2023 STEM Innovation Challenge happened on November 4th, 2023!
We are proposing an app that generates a QR code for CUNY students to be able to recycle their finished beverage products (Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Sprite, etc) via on-campus recycling machines that can receive user input and transfer crypto-funds to the designated account.
The designated account will be the students' CUNY ID number
A workable app and website was created with a QR code embedded that can effectively scan for students to input their current CUNY ID information. The app then stores the information and tracks the input.

We gather data such as students' financial stability, interests and hobbies, major, background, and academic standing.
Our AI based advisement system process these data and gives a risk rate for each student that represents the drop out risk for the student.
Based on this risk rate, advisors can provide more effective advice, such as selecting courses for students' interests or developing new scholarship alternatives based on students' needs.

This innovative, contactless shopping solution for our student pantry streamlines the process, offering enhanced efficiency and convenience. Students no longer need to be physically present; they can easily have their food delivered to their homes or arrange for pickup at a designated campus location.

Education is a tool that is equally accessible to students. This is especially so in such a diverse setting here at BMCC. In order to combat that, we must create an equal opportunity for all students to achieve the highest level of education. Our solution is a kiosk especially made to make students' educational experience much easier.

Acting people to events and activities to get them more involved in their communities, such as volunteering, social events, counseling resources, workshops, outreach centers, and recreation centers.
Fixing the issues from the foundation means healing the mind and body through food (meal plans), meditation, and exercise.
Free classes are everywhere, like Bachata dance lessons or a quick choreography lesson. This helps enrich the body and mind and connects users with new people/communities.
