Travel and Accommodation

Most talks will be on the University of Bath campus, which is located outside of the World Heritage city of Bath, with access by bus or walking. On Monday evening, there will be a public lecture in town, and on Tuesday evening a conference dinner, also in town.

Travel to Bath uni campus: Bath Spa train station is well served by national train connections. From the train station you can either walk to campus (about 40 minutes up a steep hill!) or take the U1 bus which leaves from just outside the bus station.

The nearest airport is Bristol airport. From Bristol airport one can either take a taxi, or a bus to Bristol Temple Meads then a train to Bath Spa. Alternatively there are good train and coach connections between London Heathrow and Bath.

The chancellors building is located very close to the central bus station on campus (arrivals square).

Accommodation in Bath: We recommend booking accommodation well in advance as Bath is a popular tourist destination and the BMC takes place during the Easter holidays. There is almost no accommodation next to the campus, with most hotels being in the town.

Warning: This conference has been subjected to a phishing attack that targets known or guessed attendees at academic conferences, asking for credit card details to confirm accommodation that has supposedly been booked. Please contact the organisers if you have any doubt.
