Roger Cobb is a successful horror novel writer. His son Jimmy mysteriously disappeared during a visit to his aunt's house, and has been obsessively searching for him ever since. After the tragic death of his aunt, Roger settles in his house to write, but terrible visions and other supernatural phenomena make him sense that his son is a prisoner somewhere in the house. He then begins to fight against diabolical forces.
