We are a third-grade class at the IIS Boccardi in Termoli and participate in the Open Cohesion School (ASOC) program, twinned with a Croatian school, with the aim of developing a civic monitoring survey on issues of common interest related to the Adriatic Sea.
In the initial phase of the project, we selected the MAPA – Marine Adriatic Parks project, considering it particularly relevant to our territory, as Termoli is a coastal city and the sea represents a strategic resource from an environmental, economic and social perspective.
Next, we defined the organization of the team, made up of approximately 30 students, choosing the name BlueWaves and assigning specific roles and responsibilities. We have developed the project Canvas and initiated communication activities through the creation of official social media channels.
We are currently deepening the MAPA project to understand its objectives, actions, and expected results, in order to establish effective civic monitoring. We are exploring the OpenCohesion portal, gaining expertise in the use of open data, and planning interviews with experts to support project analysis.
