Device finder keeps your devices, their names and their locations on your iPhone; the only data that leaves it is what is needed to sell and manage your subscription.
This policy explains what the Device finder app for iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and its widgets (“the app”) collects, why, and the choices you have. The app is published by NextPixel Apps (“we”, “us”). By using the app you agree to this policy.
Everything below is stored only on your device and is never sent to us.
Bluetooth signals from nearby devices (name, signal strength, a device identifier): used to list nearby devices and show how close you are to one. Kept in memory only while you search.
Devices you save (the name and icon you choose, when each was last seen): used for “My devices”, left-behind alerts, the widget and Siri. Stored on your iPhone.
Your iPhone’s location when a saved device is detected (only with “While Using the App” permission): used to show on a map where a saved device was last seen. Stored on your iPhone with that device.
Notification permission: used to alert you when a saved device is left behind.
Settings (sound, vibration, appearance, onboarding progress): used to remember your preferences. Stored on your iPhone.
Siri and Shortcuts: when you ask Siri about a saved device, its name is handled by Apple on your device under Apple’s privacy policy.
Widget and Apple Watch: they read the same saved-device list on your devices; nothing extra is collected.
Bluetooth devices you don’t own: the app only sees what nearby devices broadcast publicly, does not connect to them unless you choose to, and does not keep them after you leave the screen.
Subscriptions are sold and charged by Apple; we never see your name, Apple Account, card, UPI or bank details.
We use RevenueCat to check whether your subscription is active, on any of your devices. To do that, the app shares with RevenueCat:
a random identifier created by the app (not linked to your name or Apple Account);
your purchase and subscription history from the App Store (product, price, currency, dates, renewal and refund status);
technical details: app version, device model, iOS version, country or region, and IP address;
Apple’s Search Ads attribution token, which tells us only whether the app was installed from an Apple Search Ads campaign. It does not identify you and does not need tracking permission.
We use this to unlock the app, restore purchases, prevent fraud and see which campaigns lead to subscriptions. RevenueCat processes it for us under its privacy policy. Apple’s handling of your payment is covered by Apple’s privacy policy.
No accounts or sign-in: we don’t ask for your name, email or phone number.
No advertising in the app, and no advertising identifiers.
No tracking across other companies’ apps or websites, so the app never shows Apple’s tracking permission prompt.
No selling, renting or trading of your data.
No uploading of your saved devices, their locations or nearby Bluetooth devices to us or anyone else.
Every permission is optional and can be changed at any time in Settings › Device finder on your iPhone.
Bluetooth: needed to find devices. Without it the app can’t search, but you can still open it.
Location: only used to remember where saved devices were last seen. Turn it off and maps stay empty; everything else works.
Notifications: only used for left-behind alerts. Turn them off, or switch off “Alert when left behind” for a device.
Saved devices: remove one by swiping it in the app; this also deletes its last-seen location.
Delete everything: deleting the app removes all data it stored on your devices.
Subscription: manage or cancel in Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions. To ask us to delete the purchase records held by RevenueCat, email us (below).
How long: data on your device stays until you delete it or the app. Purchase records at RevenueCat are kept while you have a subscription and as long as needed afterwards for accounting, tax and fraud prevention, or until you ask us to delete them.
Security: on-device data is protected by iOS. Data sent to RevenueCat travels over encrypted connections (HTTPS).
Children: the app is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country) and we don’t knowingly collect their personal data. Purchases by children are controlled by Apple’s Family Sharing and Ask to Buy.
International transfers: RevenueCat may process data in the United States and other countries, with safeguards required by law.
You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal data we hold through RevenueCat, or withdraw consent, by emailing contact@nextpixelapps.in; we reply within 30 days. These rights apply under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the EU and UK GDPR, and California’s CCPA, and you may also complain to your local data protection authority.
We may update this policy when the app changes. The date at the top shows the latest version, and significant changes will be announced in the app.
