Classes are held outside. Please dress for the weather.
The farm has farm cats, farm dogs, cows, horses, donkeys, llamas, alpacas, goats, sheep, rabbits, guinea pigs, peafowl, geese, ducks, chickens, quail, chinchillas, pet rats, and wildlife. Please keep in mind of allergies before arriving at the farm.
If it is raining, snowing, etc, we can stay in the shelter of the barn, however, it will still be hot or cold.
Please bring gloves, hats, scarves, bug spray, sunscreen, etc.
Restrooms are available onsite.
Please do not bring human food or beverages around the animals. Some people food is unsafe for the animals.
Please do not touch the cats and dogs on the farm. Visitors are strictly prohibited from touching the cats and the dogs. Farm cats are loose on the property and cannot be contained.
BSF: Animals on the Homestead (ES)
This hands-on, fun, and interactive course introduces young people to the basics of homesteading and farming. This course will cover the basics of homesteading and farming. Students will explore owning and caring for animals, farm and animal safety, farm animals and how they help us, and farm equipment needed for animals. Through practical activities and lessons, children will learn about the value of working with the land and animals. This course encourages creativity, responsibility, and a deep appreciation for nature, all while building essential life skills in a supportive, engaging environment.

This hands-on, fun, and interactive course introduces young people to the basics of homesteading and farming. This course will cover the basics of homesteading and farming. Students will explore owning and caring for animals, farm and animal safety, farm animals and how they help us, and farm equipment needed for animals.
