Welcome! I'm Kara, the woman behind Bluegrass Concoctions. I'm a Kentucky native, single mother, lover of nature and all things creative. When I'm not slapping around dough, you can find me playing amateur herbalist, kicking up some dirt in the garden, or listening to a comedy podcast. I'm always a mom first and foremost, and that's how this journey begins. Finding a way to both create income doing something I love, while also being a parent. The ultimate dream.

I've worn a lot of hats professionally over the years. Barista, meat cutter and professional cook for the last 8 years, just to name a few. All paths have lead me here.

This is not a job for me, but a coming into my truest self. I thrive on challenging myself and learning new skills. This venture was built on my love of sourdough bread/fermentation, however as the world turns and time goes on; I intend to expand upon my offerings.
