At Photodate we are committed to helping you preserve your family legacy. If you have questions about scanning, metadata, or how to organize your vintage photos, we’re here to help."
Common Issues:
Location Accuracy: Make sure you allow GPS permissions to suggest locations easily.
EXIF Data: Our app writes information directly into the image file, making it compatible with all major cloud services.
How do I change the date on a scanned photo? You need to go to your Photos app (Apple or Google Photos) and manually change the metadata. We recommend rescanning the photo with the correct settings.
Where are my photos saved? They are saved to your iOS Camera Roll. You choose the backup cloud service.
Why doesn't my computer see the correct date? The app uses the EXIF format to record metadata in photo files. Make sure your computer has the drivers to read them.
How does Batch Scan work? By default, you can scan as many photos as you want using a single date and location setting. You can also scan photos individually and then change the data settings.
Edit: Pick the accurate date and location.
Scan: Capture your photo.
Save: Export with intact EXIF data.
Enjoy: See it organized in your Smart Albums.
