Markings Guide

Colors & Markings

Not sure how to design your Bloomies ?

You can take a look at the pre-made markings below to give you some ideas! I have made over 70 markings as ideas and you can absolutely even invent your own or mix and match as long as they don't resemble Regal markings(see those at the bottom of the page). The rest are free for the pickings! Go take a look in here if you ever need inspiration for your designs~

Currently, there is only the "Classic" Markings Guide which was made for the Bloomling's body type (the corgi/munchkin variant). However, please use these examples for ANY of the Bloomie types. It remains the same across all of them!

DESIGN BASICS

Please keep in mind that the "neck fluff" in the examples below were reduced to none so that you could properly see the markings across the body.
A Bloomie's neckfluff should never be so short (With the exceptions of Owletts that are allowed to have no neck fluff)

Marking Layering, variations, interactions and Gradient Tips

-Markings can be layered in any way that you like, but the neck fluff color must lay above everything else. Bisected and dark colored manes are considered Rare for Bloomies and so you will need a Rare tonic for them.

-You are allowed to put as many markings on your design are you desire and design them how you want!

However, you can not add markings that are Rare/Aberrant unless you have the items for it.

-The placement of the markings can be transferred over to any tail, wings or other traits that are not shown here. The examples below are shown to give the player liberty on how they choose to design their Bloomies.

If you have an idea for a marking that is not in this list, worry not !

You are free to design it, just be careful not to mimic other markings that belong in the Aberrant category!

-All Example markings allow for variations with the placement, range and shapes, letting them be quite versatile.

-Soft, un-textured and well blended, gradients (either light or dark) are allowed on all occasions and even encouraged across the entire Bloomie's design.

-You are allowed to chose your own colors and color combinations for your Bloomies across all markings!

However, make sure that colors are not too overly conflicting/strong/flashy!

While Bloomies are allowed to have some flashy-ness to them,

We don't want our Bloomies looking like a high-lighter, psychedelic or a full rainbow, quite like the examples below!

Note; having a rainbow palette is possible though, if you balance and blend it nicely with colors that compliment it and don't overwhelm a design.

-All Example markings allow for variations with the placement, range and shapes, letting them be quite versatile.

-All Markings allow for soft gradients across them (For Example: I've used the "Patches" marking to create a small color gradient from one end to the other. It must be evenly smoothed out and somewhat subtle but it should not make hard edged markings fade out completely!)

-Markings that are hard edged and even layered hard edges can also have gradients across them too! Don't be afraid to try things out when designing!

-To give a special touch to your design, you could try giving slight soft edges to markings that are usually hard edged

You can have it mix between hard and soft edged or have it completely soft edged if desired. This can make your design look much softer in some cases.

MARKINGS

You are allowed to design your Bloomie Freely and even invent markings, as long as they don't resemble Regal markings! This is to give you as much liberty as possible so that you can create unique designs without being too constricted by rules.Mix and matching markings is allowed too! have fun!

REGAL MARKINGS

Regal markings can only be added/created if you own a Regal MYO permit.

Astral can also make your Bloomie faintly glow

Metallic allows for Metals, Bronze, Silver and Gold and Obsidian.

Lastly, there is also "Shapes" as markings that is reserved for Regal Bloomies only.

Shapes acts as unnatural-like markings; like checkers, hearts, stars, symbols, runes, etc. They can be shown throughout the entire body or in a single patch. Note that some shapes, like hearts for example, if made to look somewhat natural or irregular/crooked, can still pass as a free marking.
