Bloomies evolved over time to look cuter, but worry not ! If a potato isn't your fancy, there are still many options for you to make them into handsome long-legged or beefy beasts!
Like their older counterpart (Rustics), they still sport the slim beak-like feature with a curved dent in its upper smile. The eyes, ears, neck fluff, and tail can see some differences as they can change with traits, but their height is what ties the whole species together. They have short-stubby legs and so their body is rather close to the ground.
These types of Bloomies were the first to be introduced and adopted into human society. Their extremely docile temperament, loyalty and affectionate sides made them easy to be loved by so many. Humans made strong bonds with their Bloomie companions this way and it gave the chance for other Bloomie-kin to make their way into human lives as well.
With them, many believed that they were blessed and protected from the nefarious grim-looking Alterite fiends. The Bloomies would quickly alert them when their kin was nearby or sensed danger and when it came to be, the Bloomies eagerly and insistently protected their human companions, becoming an even more important part of their lives.
It goes without saying that their kind, loyal and curious nature is a key factor for these Bloomies.
Unique Attributes:
Overall small & short-legged. Like Corgis or Munchkin cats!
Will probably bite your ankles.
Rusticat Bloomies are the wildest of the bunch, not to say that they are untamable, but these creatures are a lot more independent than the others. It took some time for humans in the beginning to even catch them since they were quite elusive. But knowing their potential and seeing their loyalty in how these Bloomies acted in packs, they were determined that they could make excellent and loving companions.
Today, these Bloomies still make for exceptional hunters because of their astute focus, pride and strength amongst any of their kind. They have strong wills and above all, a distinctive prey drive with the speed to catch up to practically any mark.
Some still believe that these creatures only tolerate the presence of others because of their challenging temperament, though others disagree all while outwardly proving that they can be very social, friendly and even mellow.
They can, however, get pretty sassy and demanding of one's time and attention when under-stimulated.
Unique Attributes:
Long legs and slender body, made to look elegant!
The Saluki dog breed is the closest that this build is inspired from.
Often times sports a longer beak and narrower eyes.
Looks proud, is proud.
Animaws have the thickest build of them all. They are built for pure strength and though their physique is both impressive and intimidating, most are gentle giants at heart. Though I still wouldn't cross them on purpose, mind you. Their physique does not disappoint as they are the toughest breed of all Bloomies up to date, including those that have the largest and strongest maw.
They retain a bad reputation because of their brute strength and cunning minds, despite their personalities being the opposite of hostile in most cases. It only took a few bad apples to ruin the bunch.
Their main feature is a little different than the others, having a square and thick head with a feline-ish appearance with a thick mane covering is entire neck.
Many Brutes love serving as guardians with their sheer size playing a major role in fending for their owners or loved ones. Notably, their parental instincts are also like none other and far superior than its cousin breeds. It is said that these giants often easily accept other abandoned or lost pups under its care, even if it is not of the same species, to nurture and raise them.
Unique Attributes:
Feline-like snout and mouth, with a flatter/wider head.
Alternatively, they can have dino-like heads and lots of chin fluff!
They can sport thick manes, alike those of lions, to replace the neck/cheek fluff.
Strong chunky build, alike a lion, tiger or any big cat mass-wise.
Will probably knock over everything you own by accident.
Owletts share a body-type closer to a ferret. They have a long flexible body with short legs, capable of contorting into slinky-like positions.
Their heads are Barn Owl-like by default (But you can revert it for free to any of the other common heads).
Their neck fluff is allowed to be a little different, like the example seen on the left, the crest can split from the middle of the neck and surrounds the head.
If you chose that style of Neck Fluff, the surrounding part of the neck fluff that splits the from the rest of the body will need to be the Paler part. (otherwise, if it is darker -Like Matt here below, the Community Bloomie- that means it is a rare trait)
And while the body can be longer than what is shown below, it shouldn't be serpentine-long like chinese dragons though.
When Classic Bloomies were first found by the humans and adopted into society, these little Owletts came into their lives not long after.
Being intelligent yet docile creatures, with sometimes a little bit of mischief and playfulness in their spring, they became especially popular with the children and quickly bonded with their companions. Knowing safety in numbers, Owletts are the more "anxious" ones out of their species. They tend to be fidgety and extremely cautious, but once warmed up to you, you'll know no end to their smothering affection.
They are also known and adored for their elegant looks, which most like to show off and compete for the "classiest" place, in competitions and shows.
Unique Attributes:
Lanky and long body, with flatter paws and claws, like that of ferrets!
Owl shaped heads, with an additional, but optional, fur crest surrounding on the neck and head.
Owletts are the only Bloomie Type to not sport any sort of mane or neck/cheek fluff.
Is probably a slinky.
Wyvernies are the Wyvern variant of their Classic cousins. Their front legs are replaced by wings and while they are usually feral and mostly distribute their weight on their wings for balance, they are capable of holding themselves up on their hindlegs for a short while as well.
Wyvernies also sport short legs, quite like their Bloomling cousins and so their body is usually close to the ground.
The first humans to have found these interesting little creatures, were left completely enthralled by them. Their small size, physique and ability to fly led many to think they made great shoulder companions and many would travel with them clinging to their back, shoulder, arms or head.
Wyvernies aren't necessarily lazy, but they love hanging onto things and hitch rides to conserve their energy and cuddle for warmth. They also have a tendency to be quite active at night in most cases.
To some, they may look strange or unsafe, but they are in fact very affectionate creatures, willing to do practically anything for their companions. But they can get pretty loud when they are hungry, admittedly.
Unique Attributes:
Always winged, with a total of 4 limbs (2 wings, 2 hind legs), akin to bats.
Regal Wyvernies can sport an extra pair of wings.
May sport a ridged beak for a more dragon-esk feel.
Small & short like its Bloomling cousin.
Is basically a tiny monstrosity (adorable).
Their feral form is reflected in their anthropomorphic form as though an exact copy, but shape wise there can be a lot of variety (bulky, slim, slender, etc.). Their anthro form should always resemble it's feral form and vice versa, having the same or very similar marking/color patterns as their counterpart and sporting the same traits as well.
This does NOT mean that all feral forms have an anthro form- on the contrary, Bloominids are a subspecies and only obtainable via obtaining their MYO specifically. There may be occasions however to obtain items that will allow you to give a feral Bloomie an anthro form. While they vary in shapes and heights, their overall looks are determined by their feral form. Every Bloominid has one, but that doesn't mean that they need to be drawn solely in both, or in one or the other.
Humans have discovered that while subjected to large amounts of Alterite, Bloomies who were originally feral, could become Anthropomorphic. They saw an increase in intelligence, strength and dexterity after the alteration. Quite like a shape-shifting ability, Bloomies could keep this form up for a certain amount of time before returning to their feral state and even later return to it if deemed necessary to enter the form. Bloomies even learned to communicate with humans and may only do so in this form. It was also recorded that in this state, Bloomies are extremely sensitive to emotions and may even, in some cases, drastically change their natural behavior or temperament because of the alteration.
However, some have pushed too far and too much Alterite resulted in some Bloomies being incapable of returning to their original feral form. For some it causes no bother, while others may lean into regret and bitterness.
While even wild Bloomies may find themselves subjected to these changes if they gather enough Alterite essence, some may despise the change entirely, while others embrace it fully. This applies even to tamed Bloomies, which resulted in some abandoning their companions because of the greed for power they held. The more Alterite they can absorb, the stronger one gets, so while humans can not absorb this material, they offer it (or forced it) to Bloomies, who can easily grow in power with them.
Over time, Humans became weary of their capabilities as they grew in numbers and many started to avoid anthropomorphic Bloomies altogether, which forced the creatures to build their own social groups and eventually this divided them. While some still today, decide to remain together with humans, most made their way away from human society to start their own community.
Unique Attributes:
Has the ability to shapeshift into a feral form at will (any, as long as it reflects which Bloomie type you picked for them. They must match.)
Traits and physique are represented directly and exactly as their feral form (ex. Bulky if Brute, shorter if Classic, same traits/markings, etc.).
Wyvernie Bloominids have winged arms & can sport wings in addition (if winged Bloominid).
Scarily intelligent. Might also wear your clothes.
Reminder that Flower Tails are for Regal Bloomies only!
