1:00PM: “Spring" from Vivaldi's Four Seasons - String Quartet Performance by Bo Chi, Yichen Sun, Yikuan Sun and Matthew LuFour Smith Middle School students and recipients of 2019 NC Bach Festival’s Young Artist Award, the ensemble is playing “Spring” to open the BLOOM FEST celebration.
1:10PM: A cappella Performance by Durham Academy XIV Hours
1:25PM: Musical Performance by John StevensJohn Stevens is a local singer songwriter of folk, blues, and Americana who draws influences from the likes of Townes VanZandt, Todd Snider, John Prine, etc.
1:40PM: Parade with Paperhand PuppetsJoin the parade fun as Paperhand Puppets will be roving with some of your favorite characters from the award winning troupe’s colorful creative past. Celebrating 20 years, Paperhand is a local treasure that brings delight and wonder, inspiration and magic to the Triangle and the world.

2:00PM: A string quartet and fiddle tune performances by the young students of Nonoko Okada and Simon Ertz.The young musicians will share fun songs to celebrate the beautiful season and the festival.
2:15PM: A cappella Performance by Durham Academy XIV Hours
2:25PM: "In the Garden" - a Ballet presented by The Triangle Youth BalletDedicated to training dancers and instilling a deeper understanding of dance arts in our community since 1995, the Triangle Youth Ballet is presenting ballet performances inspired by flowers.
2:40PM: "Kidzu Storytime - Fun in Bloom!" by Kidzu Children's Museum
2:50PM: “Peacock Dance” by the Chinese Dance Class of THE CHINESE SCHOOL AT CHAPEL HILLLittle dancers will perform a traditional folk dance inspired by the natural beauty and movement of peacock.
2:00-3:00PM: "Simple and Elegant Table Floral Designs" - presented by The Chapel Hill Garden ClubLocation: The Chapel Hill Garden Club's Tent on Church Street

3:00PM - 4:00PM


3:00PM: Folk Songs from America and Other Countries - Choral performance by NC Boys Choir and NC Girls ChoirProgram features an American Folk Song medley arranged by Alice Parker; Al Shlo Sha, from a Hebrew folk song; Dona Nobis Pacem using an Italian melody. The NC Boys Choir and NC Girls Choir have shared the love and excellence in choral music through performances in the state and beyond including singing at Carnegie Hall in New York City.
3:25PM: "Blossom" - Folk dance performance by RedApple Learning CampusThe dancers characterize flowers blooming in the beautiful spring season and share a mood of lighthearted joy as they dance and act with cultural parasols.
3:35PM: "Butterfly Waltz" - String ensemble performance by We Sense student volunteersThe young musicians are playing the heartwarming melody by Brian Crain to accompany the celebration as the community come together.
3:40PM: Come hear a brief message about BASF and their work with customers and communities to support pollinators through their Living Acres initiative.
3:45PM: Story Reading by The Chapel Hill Public LibraryLocation: Reading Garden by the Library's Circulator on Church Street
3:50PM: "Discover NC Wildflowers" - presented by NC Department of TransportationLocation: NCDOT's Tent at 140 West Plaza courtyard

4:00PM: Jazz Music Performance by Carrboro High School Jazz EnsembleThe CHS Jazz Ensemble is made up of students in grades 9-12 who share a common love for jazz as an art form. The ensemble meets as a class five days a week for the entire school year. Students learn concepts from fundamental to advanced and play a wide repertoire of music in varying styles and difficulty. This year, the group have learned over 30 different pieces of music and has enjoyed performing multiple concerts at home and throughout the community.

5:00PM: Musical Performance by Lucy GraceLucy Grace is a pop and country singer songwriter, pursuing a degree in songwriting and music business. Lucy will be singing a few songs including an original song titled "Happy."
5:10PM: "Blooms over Blooms" - Chinese classical dance by Easy Dance ClubThe performance depicts the lovely tunes and lyrics: "the night becomes chilly and the fallen flowers become frost. The old memories become the spring mud to cherish me. The peach flower will blossom again."
5:20PM: "In the Garden" - a Ballet presented by The Triangle Youth Ballet
5:35PM Performance by members of the award-winning Triangle Youth Jazz Ensemble
5:50PM: Butterfly Release - presented by BASFWatch as the BASF team release the monarch butterflies from their display tent and enjoy the moment as they float among the flowers to conclude BLOOM FEST 2019.

SPRING STRING QUARTET will be playing Antonio Vivaldi's "Spring" Concerto in E major, 1st movement, featuring 2019 NC Bach Festival's Young Artist Award recipients and Smith Middle School students: Bo Chi (violin), Yichen Sun (violin), Yikuan Sun (violin) and Matthew Lu (cello).
