This Privacy Policy describes how Cache NoteBook ("we", "our", or "the app") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our Android application distributed on Google Play.

## 1. Information We Collect
### 1.1 Data stored on your device (local only)
The app stores the following data **only on your device**. We do not upload this data to our servers:
- **Notes and content:** Text notes, titles, and content you create.
- **Categories and topics:** Category names, topic names, and organization (e.g. books, revision queue).
- **Checklists:** Checklist items and their completion state.
- **Voice recordings:** Audio recordings you create within the app (stored locally).
- **Attachments:** Photos, files, or other media you attach to notes (stored on device or in app storage).
- **Reminders / alarms:** Your reminder times and labels for the revision queue feature.
- **Preferences:** Theme color, settings (e.g. auto backup preference), and premium status.
- **Backup files:** Backup files (e.g. `.cache`) you create; these remain on your device or where you save them (e.g. cloud or external storage you choose).
None of the above is sent to us unless you explicitly share it (e.g. by email for feedback or support).
### 1.2 Data collected by third-party services
- **Google Play Billing:** If you make an in-app purchase (e.g. premium upgrade), Google processes the payment. We do not receive or store your payment card details. We only receive confirmation that a purchase was completed so we can enable premium features in the app.
- **Firebase Analytics:** We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used in aggregate (e.g. screen views, feature usage). This may include device type, app version, and general usage events. This helps us improve the app and fix issues. Analytics data is processed by Google according to [Google’s Privacy Policy](https://policies.google.com/privacy).
- **Firebase Crashlytics:** We use Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports and non-fatal errors. This may include device model, OS version, and stack traces so we can fix bugs. No note content or personal data is included in crash reports. Crash data is processed by Google.
### 1.3 Data you provide voluntarily
- **Feedback / support:** If you contact us (e.g. at cacheit.developer@gmail.com), we will use the information you provide only to respond. We do not use it for marketing unless you agree.

## 2. Permissions and Why We Use Them

| **Alarms & exact alarm** | To schedule reminder notifications at the exact time you choose. |
| **Boot completed** | To reschedule reminders after the device restarts. |
| **Internet & network state** | For in-app purchases, Firebase (analytics/crashlytics), and (if you use it) app update checks. |
| **Vibrate** | For alarm/reminder vibration. |
| **Billing** | To process in-app purchases (e.g. premium upgrade) via Google Play. |
We only use these permissions for the purposes listed. You can revoke permissions in your device settings; some features (e.g. voice recording, attachments) may then stop working.

## 3. How We Use Your Information
- **To provide the app:** Your local data is used to show your notes, categories, reminders, and backups on your device.
- **To improve the app:** We use aggregated analytics and crash reports to fix bugs and improve performance and design.
- **To process purchases:** Purchase completion is used only to enable premium features for your install; payment is handled by Google.
- **To communicate:** We use your contact details only to reply to support or feedback requests, unless you agree to further use.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your note content or recordings for advertising or marketing.

## 4. Data Storage and Security
- **Local data** is stored on your device using the app’s private storage and (where used) Android’s standard APIs (e.g. Room database, SharedPreferences). Backup files you create are stored where you choose (device, SD card, or cloud).
- **Access:** We do not have technical access to the data stored only on your device. You are responsible for keeping your device and backup files secure.
- **Retention:** Local data remains until you uninstall the app or delete it within the app. Backup files follow the retention of wherever you save them. Analytics and crash data are retained according to Firebase/Google’s policies.

- **Access / deletion:** You can delete all app data by uninstalling the app or clearing app data in device settings. For backups, delete the files yourself from the location you saved them.
