This App is intended for use only outside of the European Union (EU). If you are located in the EU, you should not use this App.

This app is designed for personal wellness and self-tracking only. It is not intended for use by healthcare providers, insurers, or other covered entities under HIPAA. We are not a healthcare provider and are not subject to HIPAA. We do not claim HIPAA compliance. 

Your privacy is very important to us. Accordingly, we have developed this Policy in order for you to understand how we collect, use, communicate, disclose and make use of information that has been provided to BloodTrends (iOS and Android App)
This privacy policy applies to the BloodTrends app (hereby referred to as "App" or "Application") for mobile devices, This service is intended for use "AS IS".

1. Information We Collect

We collect and process only the minimum amount of information necessary to provide our services:

• Biomarker Data (Manual Entry): Any biomarker values you enter manually are stored securely on your device’s local storage. This information never leaves your device.

• Biomarker Data (OCR / PDF Upload) - Pro Feature:
  -  If you choose to use the OCR feature, the PDF you upload is temporarily sent to our secure Firebase Cloud Function via HTTPS, which then processes it using      OpenAI’s API to extract biomarker values.
  - Once the analysis is complete, the file is immediately deleted from OpenAI servers.
  - No copy of the file or results is stored on Firebase or OpenAI. Extracted values are returned directly to your device and stored locally on device

• Anonymous Registration: When you start using the app, you are registered via Firebase Anonymous Authentication. We do not collect your name, email address, or any other personal identifiers.

• Usage Metrics: We may store minimal, non-identifying metrics (e.g., how many times you have used the OCR feature). This is strictly for safeguarding the API, enforcing usage limits, maintaining service reliability and comply with legal obligations

2. How We Use Your Data

We use your data only to provide the core functionality of the app:

• Provide our services like displaying and tracking biomarkers locally on your device.

• Monitor aggregate usage metrics to prevent abuse of our services, detect fraud and comply with legal obligations

We do not sell, rent, or use your data for advertising purposes.

3. How We Collect This Data

• We collect personal information (biomarker data) by lawful and fair means and with yout knowledge and consent

• We will only retain personal information as long as necessary for the fulfillment of our product and services.

• We collect data in the following ways:
  - Directly from you, when you enter biomarker values manually
  - From uploaded pdf, if you choose to use the OCR feauture (part of paid membership), biomarkers are auto extracted and stored on your device, files are processed temporarily and never stored.
  - Automatically through anonymous authentication, usage counts (e.g., how often you use OCR feature), and app performance events collected via Firebase Analytics
  
  

At no point do we collect personally identifying infromation such as your name, email address or contact details

4. Data Storage and Security

• All biomarker data is stored locally on your device.

• No biomarker or health-related data is stored on our servers.

• Temporary files sent for OCR are deleted immediately after processing

• We follow industry-standard security measures when transmitting data via HTTPS

We do our best to protect your data, by storing the data completely on your device, and by secure transmission when OCR auto - extract feature is used, however, please
understand that no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and therefore we cannot guarantee absolute security of your data

5. Third-Party Services

Only aggregated, anonymized data is periodically transmitted to external services to aid the Service Provider in improving the Application and their service. The Service Provider may share your information with third parties in the ways that are described in this privacy statement.

Please note that the Application utilizes third-party services that have their own Privacy Policy about handling data. Below are the links to the Privacy Policy of the third-party service providers used by the Application:

Our app integrates with the following services:

• Firebase
  - Cloud functions - used for OCR/PDF processing
  - Anonymous Authentication - used for registering users without collecting personal details.
  - Analytics - used to collect anonymized usage data (e.g. , feature usage) to improve app performance

  - used to analyze uploaded PDF's to extract biomarker values, Files are deleted immediately after processing and no results are stored, no one can view the content of files uploaded for the purpose of OCR in OpenAI

• RevenueCat
  - used to manage in-app purchases and subscriptions. RevenueCat may process limited, non-identifying purchase data as required by app stores (Apple App Store / Google Play).

These services process data only as necessary to fulfill their function. We do not grant them permission to store or use your biomarker data beyond processing.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to access, update, add and delete your personal inforamtions
Deleting the app from your device will not erase your account and data associated to it, you can delete your account by going to Settings > Manage Account > Delete My Account, If you just want to reset your biomarkers data, you can do it by going to Settings > Manage Account > Delete My Data

7. Children's Privacy

Our app is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect, use or store any personal or health-related infromation from minors. If your are under 18, please do not use the app or provide any information through it.

8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, We will notify you of change by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page
