Who this is for
BlockShield is a free Android app built to help you block distracting websites, apps, and keywords. By installing and using it, you're agreeing to these terms. If you don't agree, just uninstall, no hard feelings.
What BlockShield does
BlockShield monitors your foreground app and browser activity using Android's Accessibility Service and Usage Stats permission. It does this entirely on your device to block content you've chosen to block. Nothing is sent to us, we don't have servers to send it to.
Your responsibilities
You're responsible for how you use the app. A few things we ask:
Don't use BlockShield to monitor or restrict someone else's device without their knowledge and consent
Don't try to reverse engineer, modify, or redistribute the app
Don't use the app for anything illegal
No guarantees
BlockShield works hard to block what you've added to your list, but we can't promise it will catch everything in every situation. Browsers update, Android updates, and sometimes things slip through. We're always improving it, but we can't be held responsible if a site or app isn't blocked in every edge case.
The app is provided as-is. We don't offer any warranty, express or implied.
Limitation of liability
BlockShield and its developer are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app - including lost productivity, missed blocks, or anything else. Your use of the app is entirely at your own risk.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms occasionally. If something significant changes, we'll update the date at the top. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the new terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the developer is based.
