What are the most important things we have learnt?
Teamwork plays a huge part in doing big tasks as we all need to play our part to complete the project.
It is very important to warn people about social media impersonation scam as it is happening a lot in Singapore and the number of cases are increasing over the years
What were some challenges we faced?
Some people had network issues and were unable to attend group discussion via zoom. We faced some challenges like creating and editing the video as we need to come up with a feasible plot about social media impersonation scam and to find appropriate background music. In addition, we have to agree as a team with what to put in the video and what not to.
What NPCC values have we demonstrated during this project?
Discipline as we need to carry out the plans during the June holidays.
Responsibility as everyone has an assigned role to accomplish.
Resourcefulness as we have to try every way to make our poster appealing and to convey the correct messages.

How has your project impacted you and the community?
It has spread awareness to the school community and it has also trained us to be a better presenter. By doing this, both the community and I would understand better on the topic of social media impersonation scam and tips and tricks on how we can avoid these types of scams. During this pandemic, many people may be faced with a social media impersonation scam. By doing this project, the community could learn how a social impersonation scam may be carried out and what kind of information they should not easily give away to strangers. This helps the community to be ready and prepared if this kind of situation were to take place.
What are the challenges/difficulties of this project?
There were quite a lot of difficulties throughout this project. After splitting up into small groups and assigning different tasks to each, some were not able to join the discussion due to some network difficulties and ended up contributing to the creation of the slides. When we tried to edit the slides, it was unclear and the main idea of the message was not there. Thus, we had to rephrase the sentence. When we were presenting, we got nervous due to the hundreds to students listening to our presentation.
How can your project be improved?
Our project could be improved further by going to the point instead of adding unnecessary information. This can cause a big paragraph and the audience would not like to see each slide filled with words. Another room of improvement is for us to not be fearful when presenting. We could be more confident when presenting by presenting more in front of a small crowd and slowing increasing the number of people in that crowd to build confidence.

How has your project impacted you and the community?
It has helped us know more about social media impersonation scam. With the help of this project, we all got to know how it may be carried out and what we can do to prevent it. We also got to know some of the things we need to take note of for example, not giving personal information such as bank details and One-Time passwords (OTP). This allows all of us to be prepared if such incidents encounter in the future.
What are the challenges/difficulties of this project?
There was a lot of challenges faced during this project such as we had difficulties combining each other's poster into one. Due to that, we had a long time making our poster and adding in the video. We also had problems with the sound as whatever background music we chose, had a chance of copyright issues. Thus, we had to change our background music quite a number of times to get appropriate music which is royalty-free. We also had difficulties communicating with each other as some of us were facing some technical problems. We also had problems presenting in front of the school as we were scared/shy speaking in front of many students.
How can your project be improved?
Our project can be improved if we would show more confidence while presenting in front of the school. We can do so by taking more initiative to talk in front of smaller groups of people to build our confidence. Thus, we can improve our speaking by being more confident.

This project helped the community by raising awareness to those who don't know so that they would not get scammed by others.

What have you learnt from this project?
I have learnt the dangers that are caused by the age of technology and one main aspect of what was presented, social media impersonation. I wasn't well versed with this but after the presentation I really learnt a lot.
How has this project helped the community?
This helps people to look out and to stay away from dangers. Especially the older ones who are not well versed by the dangers caused online. By learning through school, we can share it with others and keep the safe from dangers too.
