The Community Foundation for Greater New Haven is a non profit organization that strives for the betterment of the New Haven community. The Community Foundation works to promote inclusion and reduce inequities by engaging with diverse community leaders and increasing the amount and impact of local giving and community investment in Greater New Haven. This year, The Community Foundation adopted a 5 year plan which strives to provide opportunity for all within the New Haven community in response to the chorus of voices demanding greater racial equity and justice. The organization acknowledges that in the times of covid, the devastating health and economic impacts fall disproportionately on people of color, which widens racial and ethnic disparities that have long plagued our country. In addition to the strategic 5 year plan the organization has laid out, they also support and promote arts and culture, civic vitality and social justice, and quality education. The aforementioned categories along with many other areas the Community Foundation focus on can be found on their website, cfgnh.org.
