Safety

Instincts

• Instinctual player who uses moves with the flow of the play exceptionally well. This does, however, leave him susceptible to counters, reverses and well-trained QBs due to his overaggression taking him out of the play

• Seals the edge very well in the run game. Reads the blocking scheme and glides into the right position to cut off the ball carrier

• Excellent reading the QB’s eyes and making a move on the pass before it leaves his hands

• Stiff athlete for the position 

Man Coverage

• Does well to stay attached to more physical receivers and tight ends. Not bullied off the route

• Not the strongest punch but good turn-and-run ability

• Needs to watch his angles on the break. Can get overaggressive and beaten by double moves

• Breaks well on the pass with outstanding anticipation

• Doesn’t sit idly when covering deep. Moves with the flow of the play and is always in the mix
