The foreboding 125 foot tall structure towering over the harbor of Blight Reef is home to Hong Kong Disneyland Resort's first and only multi-drop tower experience. Inside this structure, guests are taking to the top of the lighthouse in an expedition into the eerie unknown. Stories have been told of this abandoned lighthouse, about who lives up beyond the point of reckoning, beyond the scope of imagination, and beyond the light above. Journey if you dare on this harrowing adventure to find out the truth of this foretold mystery.
As you snake around the rusting sign points directing guests towards the lighthouse viewing gallery, you are met with the unspeakable notion that something else may be with you on this site. As you notice the forced perspective lighthouse in the distance and leave the seemingly safe land on Blight Reef and head towards the island itself on a rickety narrow wooden bridge with seemingly only one way on, a sense of dread seeps into your soul.
The abandoned lighthouse has a brick-laded two story house adjacent to it, perhaps where the lighthouse workers once resided. Water form the surroundings crash into the rocky basin which the island is surrounded by and you hear a bellowing horn from the top of the lighthouse as if to warn boats on the horizon of the impending land.
Guests continue up to the door of the house and peruse through the door inside as the queue meanders around the house on the first floor and second floor, past abandoned quarters of two sailors who made use of these dwellings during their post. Portraits of previous lighthouse keepers are seen along the walls and the haunting noise from the top of the lighthouse continues to beckon out into the distance.
You then move into a preshow room where an audio-animatronic, coral seeped sailor comes out of the shadows to tell the guests about the hauntings of this island and why they should never venture towards the light
'Aye, on these waves you come a sailing, but on these waves ye might not make it home' Hark! for these hallowed grounds are those of the uninitiated, and of those who ye be seeking to avoid if ye know what's good for ye. For those who venture towards the light know nothing of what they be seeking, and the light will seek it out for they, and the answer they me be a findin' is an answer they may not want to hear'
Using next-gen linear drive coils on opposing sides of the lighthouse shaft that guests travel on, the drop tower system will be a first of its kind forced drop simulator, creating increased air-time moments and perceived Gs on both the ascent and descent portions of the attraction. The interior of the attraction will house two duel drop tower systems each holding a capacity of 16 guests.

As you load onto the Lighthouse shafts to take you up to the top of the Lighthouse viewing deck, the foreboding echo of the Lighthouse noise summons your fear receptors once more as you hear the narration of the rusty sailor from the preshow cackling in the distance as you ascend upwards slowly.
Crawling up the incline you and hear mermaids chirping up above, seagulls cawing from above, waves crashing. The light seems to be a peaceful place. But as soon as you reach the top, a blinding light flashes before your eyes and you plumment down 75 feet before being propelled back to the top where a second flash of light (the photo op) sends you back down again.
Disoriented and unaware of your surroundings, the sailor once again can be heard telling you to 'resist, aye but you cannot, for ye be at the mercy of de lighthouse' You are launched vertically once again but this time with a dangling airtime moment before a friction descent into madness. The colors that surround you turn black and white as you coast back down to the ground and to safety.
'Aye, best be on your way lads, the lighthouse spared ye this time, but it might not be so merciful as the sea the next. Steady on ye way lads, steady on'
You leave and proceed back over a once unseen walkway towards Blight Reef and off the coastal island, not even daring to look back at the lighthouse as it bellows out to the sea once more.
