Students Applying to PSEO

If you are applying to PSEO for the first time, please follow the steps below. You'll need to work with your counselor on this process, be sure to be in touch with questions.

  1. Review the following information: BHS PSEO Info.

  2. Research postsecondary institutions that offer PSEO and admission requirements.

  3. Apply to postsecondary institution(s) via the postsecondary schools’ website (Anoka-Ramsey Community College, North Hennepin Community College, University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, etc)

  4. Work with your high school counselor to obtain your high school transcript, complete PSEO state form (available on postsecondary schools’ website and here: PSEO Notice of Student Registration, complete additional forms (if applicable) and discuss classes needed to meet high school requirements.

Here are handouts showing how courses at Anoka-Ramsey, North Hennepin, and Hennepin Technical are translated for high school credit. You should use these as a guide when choosing your college courses.

  1. After your application is fully submitted you will hear directly from the college about your acceptance and next steps.

  2. Provide a copy of your postsecondary schedule to your high school counselor so that your high school schedule can be adjusted. Courses at the high school will not be dropped until PSEO schedules have been received and attendance will be recorded.


Current PSEO students

Students who plan to continue PSEO at their same college after their first semester of attendance simply need to work with their counselor to complete the PSEO state form PSEO Notice of Student Registration and submit it to your college (along any other requirements your college may have).

Please note, you need to provide your counselor with a copy of your postsecondary schedule so we can adjust your high school courses accordingly. Courses at the high school will not be dropped and attendance will be recorded until PSEO schedules are received.
