About Us

Hi! This is my family's tenth year at Blacow!  My son is an 8th grader at Walters and I have two daughters here at Blacow - one in 5th grade and one in 3rd grade.  This will be my sixth year on the Boosters Board and I am so excited to be back.  I love working with the students, staff, the other parents,and the whole community!  

When my family isn't at Blacow or Walters, you can find us at the baseball fields, serving at our church, forcing our kids on hikes, and trying to enjoy our little family and community.

¡Hola! Soy una orgullosa mamá del programa de Inmersión Dual en Español. Mi hijo mayor està en 6º grado en Hopkins y mi hijo menor en 5º grado aquí en Blacow. Me encanta ser parte de nuestra comunidad escolar y, a menudo, me verán en el campus, ya sea en la biblioteca, ayudando en las aulas o animando en los eventos escolares. 

He servido en la mesa directiva de los Boosters como presidenta (24'-25'), representante de padres de salón, voluntaria y ayudante en el campamento de ciencias. Me apasiona unir a las familias para apoyara nuestros estudiantes. Fuera de la escuela, disfruto estar en Familia, correr, hacer caminatas, viajar y animar a mis hijos en sus aventuras futbolísticas.

Blacow has always held a special place in my heart. I've had the privilege of being a Bobcat since 1987. The many fond memories I made here are a big part of why I feel so fortunate to still be part of this wonderful community today. 

After nearly a decade as a Blacow parent, this will be my final year, as my youngest is entering 5th grade. Over the years, I've had the joy of serving with the Bobcat Boosters-first as a parent volunteer and then as board secretary. It's been a lot of work at times, but every moment has been worth it. Being involved has helped me build lasting connections and contribute to our school community. I'd love to connect with more families and invite you to join this dedicated group. Whether you can give a little time or a lot, your involvement truly makes a difference!
