Once you know the needs of your project, you can complete it more efficiently by breaking it into three phases. Take a lap around your property to sizing up the situation. Identify the areas of overgrowth you want to remove first and the equipment you'll need to get it done.
1. Clearing
Clear away the small trees, bushes, and shrubs with your hand tools to thin out the overgrowth. This will give you more room to work or bring in bigger equipment.
A minimum practice is removing thick brush so you have enough room to use an ax or chainsaw. It also gives the trees you’re cutting more space to fall without being tangled in more brush. A spot for your vehicle can make the debris and stumps more convenient to load.
2. Cutting
With your ax, hatchet, chainsaw, and pruning tools, chop down the trees and cut off the limbs. You should have cleared a nice path at step one to back up the pickup or UTV and use a brush grubber.
Whenever trees and branches pile up, you can make loading and hauling easier by cutting everything into manageable logs. Use the length of your pickup bed, UTV cargo box, or tow trailer as a measuring stick.
3. Cleanup
Get rid of brush piles by loading them by hand, by using a wheelbarrow, or by using a root grapple. Haul them to a better spot to be disposed of or burned if permitted. Remove small stumps and fill in the holes they leave. For larger stumps, you can drill holes into them and fill them with salt or chemicals to make them decompose faster.
Once stumps are removed, finish the area off with your rotary cutter. Mark any large stumps left behind so you do not damage your tractor or attachment.
Once the overgrowth and debris have been cleared, you have even more space on your property to use however you see fit — as an attractive area to enhance the overall look of your homestead, livestock pasture, or a new plot for a garden or crop. Whatever you decide to do with it, an acreage free of trees and brush makes your property more attractive and enjoyable.
Our team can handle any size project, from a 100+ acre site to just one tree. Tree clearing, grinding, and hauling in all sizes require different tools and equipment. Our team is the right match to be the most efficient.
Clearing
Let us take care of the clearing, or your team can clear and we’ll grind and haul
Grind and Haul
The mobile tree grinding operation has been engineered for multiple acre clearing projects. Grinding the trees onsite is more efficient than hauling them off. Once the trees are ground, trucks can be loaded to move the mulch to recycling facilities for further processing.
Haul Off
Grapple trucks can haul off 55 cubic yards of brush per truck. These semi-trucks have cranes attached so they can load themselves. We handle the loading, hauling, and disposal. The client just knocks down the trees and we take care of the rest.
