Knowing the Difference of Terms

As you proceed, some terms may seem to overlap or sound similar. Stay clear on the differences between them during your progress.

GIFT

Your Divine Gift is that unique capacity you were predestined to have to excel in a particular area of endeavor in a special way that only you can perform. It is the special Fruit that the world needs for the solving of a problem, that it can only get from you. It is your Super Power! This is sometimes also referred to as your Divine Work.

PURPOSE

The purpose for your life is the reason you came into existence in this world. Everyone has the same basic purposes, which are to survive and to help solve a need in the world in your own predestined unique way. This purpose determines what Gift or super power you will have to do this with.

VISION

Vision is a Divine foresight or calling in how a particular gift may be utilized to fulfill a higher spiritual but practical purpose in the world. You may have a vision of your own in how your gift will be used, or you may bring your gift to a company, organization, community, cause or family that has a Vision which you can help bring into existence. It is important for you to either be working within your own Vision, or in the capacity of one which you have chosen to be worthy of your Gift.

Success is the completion and the fulfillment of the original intent and purpose for your life. Are you moving towards the goal and destiny of your Divine Work and Assignment?

DESTINY

You have a potential destination that is based on the development and manifestation of your Divine Gift, at its optimal level. You are born with the predisposition, the potential, and the necessary gift to reach this destination. If you reach it or not is contingent upon your own will, your decisions and choices, and the environment in which you find yourself influenced by. Your destiny is not guaranteed, but must be chosen by you to pursue it against all odds. The whole Universe is set to align with you to get there, as long as you do your part. You will be victimized by it if you don't.

VOCATION

If you are fortunate, your vocation or job is where you are already serving your Gift to the world. For others, your current job or career may not necessarily be utilizing your Divine Gift. You may have developed skills that allow you to perform in a certain area or on a job exceptionally well, but they may simply be skills. Sometimes, you may have a job that is helping you to refine your gift, while other times your job may be a distraction from giving your gift the focus it needs to develop.

SKILLS

A skill is something a person can learn how to do well, generally with observation, education, exposure and practice. A skill in general is different from a Gift. A person may become skilled in doing something, which they may not be specifically gifted in, but learn how to do it well enough to satisfy a current need. It may not represent something they are passionate about doing, but which is still necessary to be done. We acquire many skills in the course of life and utilize them all the time. Tying one’s shoe is a skill. So is bathing, speaking, walking, reading, working a computer, meal preparation, etc. Jobs require a person to have certain skills, and at times to learn new skills which are needed for good job performance.
