Note: Terms Black & Afrikan may be used interchangeably here applying to the same people.
Focus
To establish safe & holistic Black/Afrikan centered environments of retreat and lifestyle, which address the very much overlooked and needed cultural, psychological and emotional repair, and restoration of the life of Black/Afrikan peoples in the North American diaspora.
Premise
The premise of the Black Refuge initiative indicates that there has never been a massive national initiative implemented for the establishment of a reparatory holistic environment for Black/Afrikans in North America which is non-religious specific, for both Black/Afrikan slave descendants, and/or Black/Afrikans who are not slave descendants, but who are currently living in America, both of which have been ill affected by the conditions of White Supremacy/Racism, oppression, domination, colonization and perpetual systematic injustice worldwide. Further consideration indicates that all these factors are in direct relation to the disorganization, disunity and systematic disempowerment of the Black/Afrikan community which continues to be in a fragmented and degenerate condition. We contend that the disparities and impoverished states of condition that exist among Black/Afrikans in America as a whole, are due to Black/Afrikan cultural devastation and continued alienation of Black/Afriakan culture, values and consciousness. This initiative seeks to restore some of the foundational cultural elements, communal values and psychological orientations, from the ancestral lineage of Black/Afrikans, and from an evolved state of consciousness based on the current context, which would help to reverse the colonial and cultural devastation imposed on Black/Afrikans in North America and all over the world, and to help us form a renewed Black/Afrikan Mind.
The focus of this initiative is the establishment of rural area Black/Afrikan centered utopian eco-villages (40+acres), and inner city portals (5-15 acre plots) which are the microcosms of sustainable practices and cultural restoration and reparation. Sustainability and self-sufficiency, holistic healing and lifestyle, along with Afrikan values and family structures, are the key components. Operation Exodus is based on separation, from oppressive entities and habitats, from a people and an environment that cannot help us and that continues to subjugate, brutalize and kills us, and within its system, cannot offer us justice, peace and security. Recognition of this should compel us with determination to fulfill our own destinies by our own means and labor, and on our own land. It has been found, that most of the conditions that continue to detrimentally plague Black communities in America, happen within the inner cities, also known as "concrete jungles", and we are therefore recommending a migration to low cost inhabitable lands, some not too far from cities and some a bit farther out into more rural areas. Yes we have to build on those lands. We must stop relying on others to continue building a world or community for us that we can walk into, but that is still heavily controlled by the people who don't live there. Today we are in much need of PRIVATE PROPERTY, where we will have more control over the structure, residents, roads, customs and resources on that land. Some further key components are listed below.
