Our mission at BMBS is to contribute to ongoing research into the health and variability of native New Hampshire bird populations while engaging the human community in hands-on science to spark wonder in nature and inspire support for avian conservation.

NOTE: The wellbeing of our birds is always our top priority! All banding, marking, and sampling is being conducted under a federally authorized Bird Banding Permit issued by the U.S. Geological Survey's Bird Banding Lab.
