The Black Health Lab (BHL) in the Department of Psychology at North Carolina State University is soliciting applications for undergraduate research assistants for the Spring 2025 semester. The BHL is led by Dr. Vanessa Volpe (https://chass.ncsu.edu/people/vvvolpe/) and PhD-level student researchers (https://sites.google.com/view/black-health-lab/doctoral-trainees) play a large role in helping to supervise and mentor undergraduate research assistants.

Our application has been revised recently. It is a two-step application process. Complete this first application by the deadline if you would like to be considered, and we will let you know if you made the next round.
In order to be an undergraduate research assistant in the lab, you must be able to attend a mandatory in-person lab meeting in Cox Hall on Wednesdays from 2pm-3pm starting the first week of the spring 2025 semester. You must be present and available for the entire lab meeting in person.
This opportunity is not currently available to master's students or post-baccalaureate students. Applicants must be undergraduate students currently enrolled at NC State.
We are not accepting applications from undergraduate seniors at this time.
We do not offer any clinical research experiences.
