Lab overview
Understanding molecular pathways governing the initiation of regeneration, with a focus on understanding the role of stem cells in tissue repair and the signalling factors that regulate their differentiation.
About Dr. Bokara Kiran Kumar
Dr. Bokara Kiran Kumar is a Principal Scientist at the CSIR-Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB), Hyderabad, India, with extensive expertise in cellular and molecular biology, neurobiology, and stem cell research. His research is focused on understanding the mechanisms underlying the repair, replacement, and regeneration of dysfunctional cells and damaged tissues using both in vitro and in vivo experimental systems. His work primarily aims to: (a) identify and understand the cellular and molecular factors that influence cell and tissue recovery or regeneration following injury and (b) explore potential therapeutic strategies, including the use of bioactive molecules and stem cell-based approaches, to promote regeneration and restore the function of impaired cells and tissues.
