There are several reasons how your pet can benefit from a physiotherapy session. Whether your animal is recovering post injury and requires rehabilitation , looking for extra strengthening or you would like to optimise performance and longevity. Physiotherapy can help in many ways, including but not limited to; pain relief, reduce inflammation, reduce muscle atrophy, strengthen and support muscles, aid in the management of arthritis, encourage correct way of going and posture, improve proprioception and aid in mobility issues.
Manual Techniques
I offer manual techniques such as massage, stretches and mobilisation techniques during my sessions. In addition, I may use electrotherapies if I feel necessary, to pair with my tailored manual techniques to optimise treatment and support recovery.Â
During my treatments, I may include red infrared or blue light phototherapy.
Red Infrared benefits include: pain relief and inflammation reduction through muscle tension relaxation
Blue benefits include: decreases inflectional bacteria
Longwave ultrasound can help to aid healing, reduce muscle spasm and pain, soften scar and fibrous tissue and decrease inflammation.
