We are currently at some of the highest pollution levels we've seen in modern times. Carbon dioxide was at 420 parts per million (ppm) in 2022 and our release of this gas is comparable to the asteroid that played a role in the extinction of dinosaurs (Vince 1).
The expected rise of earth's temperature is about 4 degrees Celsius by 2100, along with the loss of most coral reefs and glaciers by then too (Vince 7 & 8). These will all play a role in what places are habitable and lots of people will be on the move by then.
People will most likely being moving to more northern latitudes such as Canada and Alaska (Vince 127). They will also move from rural to urban areas and cities (Vince 127). These places will become more suitable for farming and living than ever before.
