Vision
To develop versatile seismological technology and/ or techniques through multi-pronged approaches for universal multipurpose applications
To develop State-of-the-Art Computational seismology lab cum seismic observatory in NE India
To train and develop human resources of North Eastern India to produce seismologists on par with global standards through international collaborations
To disseminate knowledge and information among the masses and focus on community capacity building for seismic disaster mitigation and management practices.

Attended a DST-sponsored training conducted by international experts on the title “Modern Seismology-Receiver Function Technique” at the National Geophysical Research Institute (NGRI), Hyderabad, India, in the year 2007.
Attended a DST-sponsored intensive course on the topic “Elasticity Theory Of Dislocation And Inversion Of Ground Surface Strain Field” at the Department of Physics, Tezpur University, Assam, in the year 2006.
Participated in the Integrated Long Term Programme (ILTP) colloquium held at CSIR-NEIST, which had participants from various local and national institutes as well as from the Russian Academy of Science and the Strasbourg University of France.
Participated in a short training on “Computational Methods for Source Characterization and Stress Field Analysis” at CSIR-NEIST.
Participated in a training programme on Computational Methods For Receiver Function Analysis sponsored by Ministry of Earth Sciences, CSIR-NEIST.
As a Nodal Officer from CSIR-NEIST, Jorhat, participated in a one-day Meet and Greet workshop with media named Sneh Milan for the Vigyan Samachar program organized by Vigyan Prasar, DST, at Prithvi Bhawan, MoES, New Delhi on 14 January 2020. The workshop was meant to orient the nodal officers for science communication purposes to contribute to Vigyan Samachar from various R&D institutes.

Scientific High-Level Visiting Fellowship (SSHN) 2023
IPGP PARIS FRANCE 2023
Awarded a Short Research Trip to France (SRTF) Fellowship under the Scientific High-Level Visiting Fellowship (SSHN) program in the senior researcher’s category by the French Institute in India (IFI)/Embassy of France in India in Geology and Computational Seismology under the domain of Earth Sciences and Astronomy. Visited the Seismology Department of Institut de Physique du Globe de Paris (IPGP), University of Paris, Paris, France, on foreign deputation from 28 October to 16 November 2023.
ICTP TRIESTE ITALY 2014
Awarded a fellowship to participate in “Advanced Workshop and School on Mega Thrust Earthquakes and Tsunamis” from 13-25 October in 2014, organised by the Solid Earth Geophysics research group under the domain of Earth System Physics at the International Centre for Theoretical Physics (ICTP), Trieste, Italy governed by Italian Government, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). The fellowship was awarded by ICTP, Italy.
