I am occupied in the position of Principal Scientist in the Geosciences and Technology Division (GSTD) of CSIR-North East Institute of Science and Technology (CSIR-NEIST), India. My research background is Geology and Computational Seismology, with over 17 years of experience in the areas of Local Earthquake Tomography (LET), Attenuation Tomography, and Regional Earthquake Attenuation Modelling, Regional Seismic Wavefield Simulation Studies and Geodynamics. My research group is specialized in designing earthquake data processing and modelling algorithms, and we produced 04 computer programmes copyrighted by Government of India.

Apart from my research endeavours, I take a keen interest in community outreach programmes involving seismic disaster mitigation and management practices and earthquake hazard sensitization among the masses. Additionally, I have experience in Science and Research Communications through Print Media.
