Edible biomaterials
We develop edible biomaterials through advanced formulation engineering of natural and food-derived materials. Our research focuses on understanding and controlling the physicochemical and biochemical kinetics of biopolymer-based formulations to achieve desired structures and functions. We further engineer multi-component and spatially patterned formulations with programmable properties. Ultimately, we aim to translate these formulation strategies into functional foods and ingestible systems for gastrointestinal health and disease treatment.
✔ High-throughput screening of natural and food-derived bioactive materials
✔ AI-driven discovery of new functional materials and their resources
✔ Physically and biochemically edible formulations
✔ Ingestible biomaterials for gut disease treatment
