The Internet and it's uses
The internet is the hardware

Cookies are small text files stored on devices and used by browsers to store small amounts user data and preferences

Digital currency refers to any currency that exists online
Digital currency can be physical and digital, cryptocurrency is purely digital
Cryptocurrency refers to currency held as a record on a blockchain database.
cryptocurrency is digital currency but digital currency is not cryptocurrency
Cryptocurrency does not come from and is not governed by banks
Cryptocurrency is not considered legal because banks and governments cannot control it

Cookies can be useful to us as we browse the www, they can store login and user data which makes accessing sites faster and more convenient for us.
Cookies can store data which allows us to tailor our user experience of websites, they can store preferences in appearance as well as store payment information to enable easy purchases.
Cookies can also be used to track our browsing content and use this data to inform which adverts will appear on our browsers as we surf the net - this is called targeted marketing.
