Any type of pornography or suggestive artwork is not allowed - users will be banned if this rule is broken.

Explanation: We are a teen subreddit and a lot of our users are underage, we don't want these users exposed to pornography on our subreddit, nor do we want them posting indecent images of themselves on our subreddit.
There are other subreddits available to those over the age of 18, who wish to view pornography of those over the age of 18.

No in-depth sexual or mature conversations should take place in the subreddit.

Explanation: The main idea of this rule is to stop in-depth sexual conversations happening on the subreddit, a passing comment that may be perceived as sexual may be overlooked or removed by mods at their discretion, there are a lot of creeps on the subreddit and once someone mentions sex, there is people commenting and DMing the OP, getting excited about sexualising minors.

There are loads of sex related subreddits with more robust systems to answer sex questions.

No GSRM-Phobic content (i.e: homophobia, bi/panphobia, transphobia, aphobia, as well as racism, serophobia, ableism, or sexism)

If you are submitting a post that contains hateful remarks or triggering language, please flair your post accordingly.

Do not try to start an argument for the sake of an argument.

Do not make personal attacks.

Explanation: This is context based, and at mods discretion. If you are repeatedly harrassing users or name-calling, you will be punished, regardless of whether it is sarcasm or not.

Please do not post or ask for any usernames or links to any platform, including TikTok. It does not matter if it is your own account or another persons. Please do not advertise a product, service, crowdfunding campaign, YouTube channel. This is not a definitive list.

Explanation: This rule is in place to protect users from people being able to find them in real life. The 'TikTok' part of this rule is that we do not know if the video is yours or not and nor do we know if the person featured in the video is 'famous' or not, research into this would take up a lot of the mods time, thus all TikToks will be removed.

Ads are annoying, and we all get them when scrolling through reddit(unless you have premium) and nobody wants to see more ads, especially when they are on r/bisexualteens looking for advice and memes. We don't like our community feel like they have to give money to crowdfunding campaigns nor do we want people to get scammed when buying a product online.

This rule protects our community from unsolicited DM's, images, etc. This includes comments like “DM me”.

Explanation: As the above says, this rule protects users from unsolicited DM's with indecent images or messages. Once a conversation has gone into DM's, there is nothing more we can do in terms of moderation and you must use reddits report feature to raise any concerns.

Selfies are banned to protect you and our community.

A selfie is an image of yourself, no matter what body part is included.

An exemption may be made to showcase art - please contact the mods before posting.

Explanation: Rule 36 of the Internet- If it exists, someone has a fetish for it. No exceptions. This rule is to stop creepy people from seeing you, and then reaching out through DMs. If you have a new t-shirt you want to show off - just take a picture of it when you aren't wearing it!

Surveys must not be posted and they will always be rejected.

This is a community, not a guinea pig farm.

Exceptions: Surveys may be carried out by mods & poll post types, as long as they meet the other rules.

Explanation: This one is totally at mods discretion, but we will allow polls to be conducted as long as they are through reddits 'poll post type', and they aren't surveying the demographics of this subreddit, such as age, gender, sexuality, location, religious views.

Surveys carried out on other platforms are not allowed unless it is a moderator carrying out a census. We will never DM users for the purpose of a survey.

Please do not spam our subreddit.

Sexuality tests, Number games, PiCrew images, reposted memes, political information posts, unrelated images of frogs and Wallpapers are all spam, this is not a definitive list.

Bisexual Awakening posts must be posted in the megathread.

This ban is now being enforced with a 5 day ban.

Explanation: Once one person posts a sexuality test, or a picrew, another 100 people will follow and it will just spam the subreddit, not allowing people who are needing advice or a really creative person showing off their art to be seen. The subreddit has been filled with spam, we have been playing a waiting game to see if it would die down, but it hasn't, so we need to take action to stop this subreddit turning into a shitpost subreddit.

Do not try to start an argument for the sake of an argument. Do not discuss politics. Do not post screenshots of people being hateful.

Explanation: We try and keep the subreddit as positive as we can, but people may disagree, and that is part of life, but please be respectful of other's views, and don't argue on our subreddit. We also ask that you do not post any screenshots or hateful subreddits on our sub, this stops the spread of hate, the best course of action here is to just report the subreddit that is hateful to reddit, or report the hateful user to the mods on whichever subreddit/platform it took place.

If you are found to be preying on younger members of the subreddit, you will be banned and reported to Reddit Admins.

r/BisexualTeens has no place for paedophiles or people who wish to contact our members for sexual satisfaction.

This lets all of the mods see your message and we will respond faster.

Explanation: Using modmail lets all of the mods see your message, and it will get replied to more quickly than a normal DM. Also it's good to keep a trail of what user is saying to us, so we know how to improve our moderation in future.

There will always be some things that our rules do not currently or perfectly cover.

In those cases, we reserve the right to take action and remove anything that we think could potentially cause harm or does not fit within the spirit of the community and the safe space we maintain here.
