We are continuing to learn about the books of the Bible. Today we studied the Major Prophets.
Isaiah Jeremiah Lamentations Ezekiel Daniel
A prophet is someone chosen to speak for God to guide the people—God’s Messenger. The books of the Major Prophets show us God’s Message. The story in Daniel 1 shows us God’s Message to King Nebuchadnezzar. The message was that God’s Kingdom is stronger than any kingdom the King would ever rule over. And the best part is—God’s Kingdom will last forever! The Prophets told the people to repent—the Rescuer is coming!
Action Items
· Practice singing the Books of the Bible song.
· Practice saying Psalm 119:11 with the motions. Then write it in chalk on your driveway!

Statue Page:
Tell your child the story of King Nebuchadnezzar’s statue. Talk to them about the King’s bad dream and how God sent the Prophet Daniel to tell the king what the dream meant.

As your child colors the page, talk about King Nebuchadnezzar’s dream and how God gave Daniel wisdom and courage to tell the king about the dream. God’s kingdom is the greatest and will last forever.

Build a Statue:
Use blocks or plastic cups to build a tall statue. Use a ball to knock down the statue. Talk about how God had a message for the king. He wants everyone to know that He sent His Son to be our Rescuer.
