Due Process Complaint: You would file a Due Process Complaint with the district describing how you think that your rights under IDEA were not met. This is the first step in the Due Process procedure.
Resolution Process: The district will receive your complaint and set up a team meeting to discuss it and look at the relevant information.
Due Process Hearing: This happens in front of an impartial Hearing Officer to resolve differences between the family and the district.
State Complaint: A written statement would be sent to the state agency to describe the concerns you have about your rights under the IDEA law.
