Join us for a peaceful and grounding meditation sit led by members of our community at the Sacramento Dharma Center. This gathering is open to all who identify as Black, Indigenous or Person of Color, whether you’re new to meditation or have an established practice. Together, we will create a supportive and serene environment to cultivate mindfulness, presence, and compassion.
The session will typically begin with a short introduction, followed by 30 minutes of meditation. Participants are welcome to sit in a way that feels comfortable, with options for seated meditation or using cushions and chairs. After the sit, there will be time for an audio-dharma offering, informal sharing or community connection.
This is an opportunity to deepen your practice, connect with others on a similar path, and experience the supportive energy of our community. We invite you to come as you are and join in this collective moment of stillness and reflection.
No registration is required; simply come and be part of the experience!

Zoom Information: This sit will be offered In-Person only.
Updates for our online sit access: Due to a volunteer shortage, we will be reducing our online sit options as necessary. Sits that have online accessibility will provide a zoom link. We appreciate your understanding as we look for more support .
Want to help? We are seeking volunteers interested in learning our Audio Visual (AV) role who can commit to 1 or 2 days per month. If you can help us maintain this important accessibility option for the BIPOC Sangha and wider BIPOC Dharma community, please email us or fill out this form. Training and ongoing support will be provided.
