We welcome submissions for the Behavioural Insights for Policy in Eastern Europe workshop that will be held on July 3-4, 2025, at the Centre for Behavioral Research at the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova (ASEM), Chisinau.
The workshop aims to unite researchers and practitioners interested in applying behavioral insights to public policy, with a particular emphasis on Eastern European countries. We welcome contributions from diverse fields within behavioral science, including behavioral economics, psychology, public policy, and other social sciences that explore human behavior with policy implications.
Potential research questions include, but are not limited to:
How can behavioral interventions improve tax compliance or reduce corruption in public administration?
What interventions are most effective in promoting sustainable behaviors, such as energy conservation or waste reduction?
How do cultural differences shape the effectiveness of public policy interventions in Eastern Europe?
What role does behavioral science play in enhancing trust in public institutions and policymaking?
How can insights from behavioral science address pressing health challenges, such as vaccine hesitancy or adherence to medical treatments?
The event will feature academic presentations, a roundtable discussion with senior public servants, and a hackathon, offering researchers a unique opportunity to collaborate with local organizations in addressing pressing societal challenges using behavioral insights.
