Empowering the Future Through Robotics
Our team, the Bionic Buzzers, is the official FIRST team at Hastings High School and was founded in 2024. Our goal is to inspire young people through our engineering pursuits and to make engineering accessible for everyone. We want to equip the next generation with the problem-solving skills and creative thinking that will set them up for a successful future.
In addition to our fantastic mentors, we have a passionate group of students who are dedicated to the team. Take a look at their roles and descriptions!
The mechanical head is responsible for the design and construction of the robot. They help teach basic mechanical engineering skills and oversee the build process.
The electrical head is in charge of wiring the robot. They work closely with the mechanical and programming teams to ensure that the robot works effectively.
The programming head leads the coding of the robot. They teach new team members how to code and work with the electrical head to make sure that the code and wiring are compatible.
This group is responsible for creating engaging posts about our team. They help boost team morale and foster connections with other teams. Through collaboration with our community members, they expand our team's reach.
The treasurer is in charge of the team's finances. They are an expert on the team's sponsors, budget, tools, and materials.
This leader works to maintain the team's image through design. They are in charge of all team aesthetics from uniforms to the robot's artistic design.
