Wind Impact on Anatomy and Growth of Corn
10 seeds of corn were planted
5 ( with 33 mph of wind) - Treated
5 ( with no wind) - Controlled
40 days was the time for this experiment
After the 40 days, the treated and controlled plants were examined.
From the wind moving the water around- the treated plants were shorter, sturdier and had a thicker stem compared to the controlled plants.
Corn was first domesticated over 10,000 years ago
kernels can come in lots of different colors, such as red, blue, purple, and black
Stalks can grow as high as 13 feet
Average number of kernels on an ear of corn is about 500 seeds
