Lab Goals & Objectives
Understand Agriculture's role in restoration through agroforestry
Become familiar with the various plants, processes, and techniques involved in agroforestry
Be able to explain the land sharing vs. land sparing paradigm in the context of agroforestry
Understand Agroforestry in the Midwest as a whole as islands of biodiversity amongst largely row cropping
Understand Agroforestry as an economic engine for restoration

Materials, Links, Logistics, & General Itinerary (subject to change as needed)
We are Meeting at Reith Village and will be working in the orchard and the Woody Perennial Polyculture. Depending on time we will also discuss the Merry Lea Walnut Plantation and the Chestnut Project
Prepare for heat. Hat, long pants, etc. Sunscreen and insect repellent. Water Bottles are absolutely neccessary.
