Indian Institute of Public Health Shillong (IIPHS), established by the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) in collaboration with the Government of Meghalaya, is a leading institute dedicated to advancing public health education, research, and capacity-building in Northeast India. The institute focuses on addressing regional health challenges through research, education and policy support.
The IIPH Shillong serves as the Regional Resource Hub for Health Technology Assessment in India (RRH-HTAIn) for the Northeast region, with support from the Department of Health Research, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare. RRH-HTAIn at IIPH Shillong conducts evidence-based research of health interventions and technologies, focusing on clinical effectiveness, cost-effectiveness, and safety, to inform policy decisions and promote efficient, equitable healthcare in the region.
