Every student enrolled in this course has access to our Discord Server. Discord is a free, group-chatting platform originally built for gamers, but it has since become popular for many kinds of communities. Discord is meant to create an active community so that we may all help each other successfully make our way through BIOL B33 this semester!
You can download the app to your computer, phone and/or smart device or you can use it in a web browser (Chrome, Safari, Edge, etc.)

Interaction is KEY to a successful online learning environment. You have many different opportunities to interact with me:
I hold weekly office hours either in my office (SE-336 @ Main Campus) or at CTEC (see syllabus for exact schedule). I can also be available via Zoom (by appt).
As stated, I do accept appointments. I'm fine with after-hour appointments. So after you put the kids to sleep, or get off work, or whatever other life things you have going on, we can work out a solution. As you can see in the picture to the left, I have a family of 2 beautiful baby girls and I totally understand how unpredictable life can be! Just email me with 2-3 time options that work with your schedule and I will set up a meeting via Zoom or In person.
