Биологийн олон янз байдал, ургамлын аймаг, морфологи, биологи, физиологи, генетик, ургамал бүлгэмдэл, ургамалжил, бэлчээр, ургамлын тархалт, нөөцийн судалгаа хийж, тэдгээрт хүний болон абиотик, биотик хүчин зүйлийн үзүүлэх нөлөөг тогтоох, өөрчлөгдсөн ургамал бүлгэмдлийг сэргээх, тэтгэх, мэдээлийн сан, бааз байгуулах, хамгааллын менежмент, стратегийн чиглэлээр шинжлэх ухааны үндэслэлтэй судалгаа хийж, олон нийтийг мэдээллээр хангахад чиглэнэ. 

The BCC aims to conduct scientifically grounded research on biodiversity, flora, plant morphology, biology, physiology, genetics, plant communities, vegetation, rangelands, plant distribution, and resource assessment; to identify the impacts of human activities and abiotic and biotic factors on these components; to restore and sustain altered plant communities; to establish information systems and databases; and to develop conservation management and strategic frameworks, while providing information to the public.
