You made it—welcome to the home of the folks in blue! Here in the Southern Tier of New York, baseball and softball are serious business… but we’re not afraid to have a little fun while keeping things fair. The BUA is a crew of dedicated umpires who love the game, love the community, and—believe it or not—actually love the rulebook. (Yes, we’re those people.)
Our job is simple: show up, call a great game, and make sure everyone—from the kids learning to swing to the adults who still think they could’ve gone pro—gets to enjoy the sport within the rules.
This site is your go‑to spot whether you’re a player trying to figure out why that infield fly was called, a coach prepping for the season, a parent cheering from the sidelines, or a fan who just loves the crack of the bat. Whoever you are, we’re glad you’re here—and we promise not to call you out.
Take a look around using the navigation bar. There’s plenty to explore, and unlike a close play at first, you won’t need instant replay to figure it out.
