Dortmund 2-1 Hertha

Borussia Dortmund's Erling Haaland scored in his final game for the German club, a 2-1 victory against Hertha Berlin in the season finale on Saturday, pushing their opponents into a relegation playoff.

As Dortmund finished second behind winners Bayern Munich, Haaland converted a penalty to tie the game at 1-1 with his 86th goal in his 89th games in all competitions since 2020.

After Ishak Belfodil was taken down in the area in the 18th minute, Hertha seized the lead with a penalty kick, which the Algerian converted himself.

Dortmund had a long time to react after saying goodbye to key players as well as long-time sports director Michael Zorc.

Dortmund eventually got a penalty for a handball by Marvin Plattenhardt, and Haaland, who had also scored on his Bundesliga debut, scored on his farewell appearance for the club to tie the game up.

Youssoufa Moukoko's brilliant low drive off the post in the 84th minute salvaged the three points for Hertha, who finished 16th after VfB Stuttgart's dramatic stoppage-time winner over Cologne hoisted them to 15th and safety.

Wolfsburg 2-2 Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich lost a two-goal lead in their final Bundesliga encounter of the season, settling for a 2-2 draw at Wolfsburg.

Julian Nagelsmann's side won the league title a few weeks ago, but have struggled in the latter stretch of the season, going three games without a win.

The game was delayed owing to vision concerns after home fans detonated yet another smoke bomb, but after a five-minute wait, the game finally began.

Jamal Musiala's charge down fell just short of Wolfsburg goalkeeper Koen Casteels' fingertips early on, before the 19-year-old stung the Belgian's palms with a powerful blast from distance.

Soon after, Leon Goretzka was denied, as was Robert Lewandowski, who saw his blasted half-volley saved by Casteels.
