In 2005, the Billmeyer family experienced the devestating loss of our father and grandfather, Don, due to cancer. Just six months later, we also lost our mother and grandmother, Audrey. Facing such a profound loss, we made the decision as a family to take action - raising funds to support cancer patients and advance cancer research.
That same year, we hosted the inaugural Billmeyer Memorial Golf Tournament at Silvermine Golf Course in Norwalk, CT. The event was a tremendous success, and we knew we had to keep going. Now, as we prepare for our 20th tournament, the event has grown beyond what we ever imagined. Due to its increasing popularity, we relocated to Oak Hills Golf Course in Norwalk, CT, where we continue our mission.
Our proceeds directly support the Whittingham Cancer Center at Norwalk Hospital, where Don and Audrey received compassionate care. The dedicated staff not only provided exceptional treatment to them but also to every patient and family who walks through the doors.
We are honored to continue this tradition and memory of Don and Audrey, helping fund vital research and patient care. Thank you for being part of our journey and for making a difference in the lives of so many.
