Our Story

Billie Jean's Hair & Nail Studio was founded in 1965. Its original location was on George Street near Millersville University. When the Manor View Dairy Restaurant vacated most of their space at 250 Manor Avenue, Billie Jean's moved into some of this space and expanded its business in 1972. As different interests developed, the founding owners decided to sell the business to two of their employees. After many years of partnership, one of the employees left the business, and it became a mother-daughter ownership. As the business continued to grow, they expanded to a larger building next door at 248 Manor Avenue in 2019.  Keeping the tradition alive, when the mother-daughter duo retired in 2025, they decided to sell the business to one of their employees.
